Gone Fishin'

After a fight with this boy's hat I finally got the look I wanted. I've learned that straw hats aren't the easiest to make out of frosting. I'll stick with a baseball hat from now on!

I'm Teaching Again

After a month-long break, I'm back to teaching at the Orem Robert's Store. The new classroom there is great. This is the cake that I decorated during the first night of class. Thanks to all those who sign up for my classes!

Bug Cake

This is Caleb's bug cake for his 4th birthday. The cake is an ice cream cake covered with buttercream frosting. The cookies are decorated with the colorflow technique. Everything went well, it all just took a lot of time to accomplish.

Layette On 'Em!

This cake took me 5 1/2 hours total to decorate. I spent one hour just doing the buttons. It took me 4 1/2 more hours to frost, cover with fondant, cut out shapes, and decorate the cake. I even impressed myself on this one. It turned out really cute.

Sheet Cake for a wedding

I made 4 of these half-sheet cakes for a wedding reception. I started by combing the frosting into waves, then I scored each cake into 48 pieces so they would all be even. I topped each piece with a leaf and a rosebud.
